Seattle is one of the best big cities in the United States. The city has beautiful views of Mt. Rainier to the south and Mt. Baker to the north, and has good weather devoid of extremes. Seattle is also a nice place to raise a family, with low crime for a large city and an excellent public school system. On the downside, the very high cost of living and housing makes it inaccessible to most middle-class people. While it rarely snows in the city, rain is common and there is a general lack of sunny days compared to other cities in the United States. Also, if you don't like the typical disadvantages of living in a big city (such as crowding and traffic), Seattle is not the place for you.
