I just moved from Florida to Washington State because of work. Although the geography is absolutely beautiful here, I miss the sun. When it does decide to come out, I race outside and point my face skyward, hoping to absorb as much of it as I can! Wow, talk about Seasonal Affective Disorder! The people here are wonderful. They're down to earth and friendly. They'll talk to you in line at the store or answer questions that you ask about the area. I've only been here for a couple of months and it IS winter, so I'm hoping the summers will be gorgeous. If you're looking for a small-town feel but don't care about the weather, this is the place for you. Otherwise, be careful and stock up on your vitamin D!
