I've been reading the reviews about Seymour.
I was born in Seymour, spent half my child years there as well as other places about the country. I have either lived or visited in many other cities or towns all over the continental US ( except Montana, N Dakota and Minnesota). I have been to Seymour on several occasions, visiting extended family.
Things have changed a lot since my childhood, but from my experience, Seymour is no better nor worse than any other place in the country. There are problems with drugs, illegals, police corruption etc; just like all the other places in the country.
And it still is a fairly safe place with job opportunities.
Visit first. If you don't like what you find, you can always leave.
But if you stay, maybe you can help make things even better...
