Spartanburg is one of the best cities in South Carolina. Don't let the city's stats on this page fool you. Spartanburg is in the process of restoring its beautiful and historic downtown, centered on Morgan Square. New corporate HQ's and other office buildings are going up left and right, the in-town neighborhoods are springing back to life. Restaurants are clamoring to get downtown to stay ahead of the market.
The city is much more than just its small land area. The urban population spreads for miles beyond the city boundaries, and is growing more every day.
Spartanburg's leaders are concerned with retaining business and attracting new industries. Spartanburg is the 4th largest economy and couny in SC, and being located at I-85 and I-26, it has become a major manufacturing and distribution point for many companies, including BMW North America and Milliken Corp. Spartanburg County has the highest international investment per capita in the nation.
Housing is inexpensive in this city-on-the-rise; so if you want a nice suburban estate in Boiling Springs, a historic home in Hampton Heights, or even a condo downtown- you will have a variety of options from which to choose, and you will be able to do it for a good price.
The area is blessed with good schools, great people, and an excellent quality of life.
