You Can't Gloss Over The Bad Aspects Of St. Louis
Star Rating - 8/7/2020
8/7/20 I left St. Louis, MO (University City) in 2006 and haven't looked back. It continually becomes more dangerous to live there. Property taxes are high. Traffic noise is unabated.

I'm just in St Louis for a month. So far I'd say I can't agree with this review. I'm from Denver, and you here so many bad things about St. Louis in the media, but so far it feels completely safe. I'm sure there are bad areas, as in any major city but still, my experience thus far has been very positive. The area on the Hill, where I'm currently at feels extremely safe to walk around in, even at night, and there's definitely parts of Denver I wouldn't dare to that. People have been very friendly. Housing is definitely way more affordable here than Denver, and amazing food. I love my home city Denver, but I think maybe St. Louis is getting an unfair rep.

Never heard of crabs in the bucket, however one think I immediately like was the diversity. People cart about community and family.

A very dirt, racist, and dangerous city, every year triple number of homicides, crabs in the bucket mentality is strong here, don’t think about moving here, most are trapped here and don’t know how to get away!
