Moving to St Marie

After looking around the West for a place for retirement, I stumbled across St Marie and was a little disappointed about the condition of the complex. After talking to some of the residents, I decided to purchase a unit as an ace-in-the-hole in the event the economy took a dump. Well guess what? It happened and now I'm on my way. The condos are anywhere from $12,000.00 to $35,000. and are nice.

The area offers lots of recreation, hunting, fishing, golf near by and the Town of Glasgow is a short 17 miles away (15 min drive) and there is lots of restruants, small casinos, a 2 screen theater, and a regional hospital.

Will report back after a fewmonths there.

Don't waste your hard earned money! I've lived here for 20 years and the place keeps going down hill! Most of it is unlivable thanks to dishonest developers fighting among themselves and transferring properties back and forth & making up new names to keep from paying taxes, condo fees, village fees, water fees! Too boot most of all of the unoccupied building you'll never be able get water to. This use to Air Force Base in the late 50's-60's but was shut down. Some of the buildings are even unfinished due to the AFB shutting down. The winters are miserably cold with blowing & drifting snow with 10-30 below 0, & with windchill factor 60 below or more!
