Review of Steubenville, Ohio

Still a depressing place to live

I grew up and moved back to the area about 15 years ago to a neighboring town that shares the same zip code. This place is very depressed and hasn't improved even with the oil/gas "boom." That industry helps the young, strong men that can work 16 hrs a day. The steel industry is gone. Nothing really here in the town to work at ; most people must commute to Pittsburgh or Coraopolis, PA. Gas in this area is much higher than surrounding areas. Not sure why. Lots of crime in Steubenville and the police are having problems controlling it. Nothing really "to do" and certainly no shopping or decent eateries in the area aside from a few local places. No decent chains. THe weather sucks, it gets very cold and its overcast alot and rains. Very gloomy. I wouldn't come here if you didn't have to. Dean Martin left and was happy he did. :)

Well Kenneth, I came back to raise my children because despite my complaints, Wintersville was still safe and more community oriented than where I was in Florida. My children are now flying the coop and I am leaving you your precious Steubenville all to your sorry ass self. You are an example of the losers I can't wait to get away from. And no, Despite all the places I have lived, (Germany, Florida, Colorado, VIrginia, Georgia, France, Belgium) I was not unhappy..

I would hope that by growing up and moving back here that means that you left the area were obviously unhappy wherever it was that you were and returned to a place you missed. Obviously I must be mistaken and you are just an unhappy person, as you left here went somewhere else and were not happy there and now you are here again. Please consider moving on once again so that you can have somewhere else not to be happy with and post rotten reviews about your next location.
