Of course if you look on a web site, for instance they make Armory Square seem like the best spot. Having moved here, it's like 2 blocks if that of mostly college bars! Lots of live music and bands other than that not much culture really...there is lipservice but other than perhaps at SU, there is a real "local" mentality. As others have mentioned-innovation, new ideas, ESPECIALLY if you are from out of town-will not be looked on well.
