Toms River has experienced tremendous growth over the last couple of decades. It still maintains that nice clean suburbian shore down atmosphere yet it has all the best restuarants, shopping, schools, hospitals, churches, even a major military installation close by. Most of the people that settled in this town came from areas in New York, North Jersey, and Philadelphia. They tend to be conservative and hard working. The town has ranked in the top ten safest places to live in the country year after year.
