Crime on the rise in S. Arizona

because of drugs, illegal immigration, high rate of poverty in Tucson compared to the rest of the state, and a very low service-level economy combined with a cost-of-living that is not as low as expected considering the wages offered here. Crime is not restricted to the "bad" parts of town, although they are higher there. Everyone is susceptible to burglaries. Although the climate is nice here, I would not recommend it as a retirement town for senior citizens because the high crime rate is not comfortable for older people.
