I can't speak spanish!

I like Tucson. It's a nice city. I do have one complaint. In my line of work, Social Services, most employers require or even demand someone who is bi-lingual. I wish I could speak spanish but it's a hard language for me to learn. I wish people would at least try to learn to speak english. Most everyone else who immigrates here does. My family came from Norway, my husbands from Germany and they learned the language of America. I am not trying to sound mean but what's up with that?
