lots of fun things to do here . caution : high cost of living especially in housing, average decent house in va beach is 280,000. these homes are not new or bigger than 2000 sq feet. i have watched market x 4years , property in virginia beach is the highest & goes up 10-20% in less than 8 months. bidding wars are ugly here. you need to have lots of cash, great credit or buying 2nd home. the pay is not great compared to cost of living, lots of taxes, taxes on cars , inspections are strict & can cost you $ 200 to get things fixed unless you know who to go to. every one here works 2 jobs, lots of phillipines & vietnamese here. lots of military : 8 bases in this area. military keeps our payscale low. CAUTION befor moving here: oceana largest naval air base is on docket to be closed
