LEAVING VIRGINIA BEACH.....

I am relocating from Virginia Beach to Charlotte, NC this fall for many reasons. Virginia Beach which is part of 7 cities along with Chesapeake,Norfolk,Hampton, Newport News, Yorktown and Williamsburg. It is a tourist area so the summers here are CRAZY with people visiting and people already living here all together on the road at the same time it is a mess! And it is catered to the military by the way. I do like living near the parks and the beach but the cost of living is crazy for a decent apartment it cost about 800 to a 1000 for a 1 bedroom, jobs here are hard to get again if you are not in the military they don't pay much. You might get lucky and make just enough. If you are in a regular field like computers and such you will get rape of your skills in this area because you will not get paid much! I do graphic design for a marketing company and well I could get paid more in another area!The cost of living here is crazy period! If you get a government job you may get lucky but my time here in Virginia Beach which has been some years...well my time is up I will make room for someone else to try it out but if you like a lot of people, jet noise, traffic, high taxes, high cost of living, did I mentioned traffic.. the roads here are awful by the way they need a metro or something out here and don't be on a road with a bridge lift oh boy you will be sitting in traffic for days because of a passing boat! This area is nice but after a few years you may want to relocate yourself. This is just my opinion! But I am so ready to move to a new area that is calm and with no military! I am over this area! Can't wait to move! I have lived in big cities like DC and Atlanta so that may be why I am over the craziness here. But there is one thing and there is a lot to do in the summer here I will say that much!
