I've lived in this zip code for all of my life, and it's suitable for me, but probably not for newcomers. If you don't know 02888 is the zip code closest to Providence/Cranston. This zip code is closest to the worst parts of Cranston, which rubs off over here. Most neighborhoods are rundown, with property crime, vandalization, and some violent. The only nice neighborhoods in 02888, are Gaspee Point, and Governor Francis Farms.

This neighborhood has changed, you can see & feel it. The waterfront, shore line, clean parks make this area a treasure. Its a mix of professionals, business owners, management type work residences and settled retirees. All wanting beauty and safety in their busy lives. Example: This state is small so there are mansions in Newport and have substandard housing 2 blocks over. The neighborhoods in Pawtucket are exceptionally clean and safe. The million dollar marinas, waterfront parks and a kind community is what I am experiencing.
