Review of Washingt,

Who knew what would emerge.....
Star Rating - 10/10/2012
...when I first arrived in Dupont Circle too many years ago now to tell, it was a safe harbor for unrepentant hippies and an enclave for still reticent gays. Today there are more hair salons and boutiques than bookstores (this is not necessarily a good thing) and rainbow flags are the order of the day. Real estate prices have quintupled. Down with granola (unless from Whole Foods), up with equity. An incredible changeover, but no one can say it is undeserved. The neighborhood is beautiful, and is but five minutes from the center of Washington to the East and the Potomac River and parkway to the West. Great place to live.
