Review of Yuma, Arizona

Language / culture clash
Star Rating - 9/20/2006
Unlike other immigrants to the USA who may keep to their native language and culture...yet attempt to assimilate into the American culture and learn and speak english. For the vast majority of spanish speaking central American immigrants here in the desert southwest that is not so. So if you are NOT spanish speaking your ability to find work is cut 50%. Wherever you work or where you shop, the spanish language is spoken heavily. It is the first sign of the level of arrogance of the spanish speaking central Americans. So be forwarned. Also the Yuma border sector is #1 for illegal border crossings. So please come to Yuma, and help increase the number of english speaking Americans.
