Lived in Chesterton 1976-1980, I had a good neighbor named Barney Hayman retired from US Steel. We both lived at a dead end street near the tracks, guess the street. When I first moved in from New Jersey a lady down the street sent me a sweet loaf, how neighborly is that. The mailman turned out to be Barney's bother and a good friend. I fell in love with this town. Lasted till 1980, when Bethlehem Steel shutdown the 110" plate mill. Great town as I remember.
