good place to raise a family or retire

It rarely rains, the town is on the east side of the Cascade mountains. Not too many chain restaurants, everything shuts down early too. 3 hour drive to any city. I personally hate it here, but many people like it to raise their families or retire. It is beautiful in the spring time. I like the city and year-round warm climate.
