Great places to visit while in Palmetto Bay

My family and I recently went to Deering Estate for an afternoon picnic and had an excellent time. We brought in all types of food and drink, we brought a lg blanket, and sat and talked. We witnessed our children experiencing nature, we saw a boat go out from 15' of our blanket, and then did a nature walk ourselves on the property. They have tours of the grounds, the water, specific animals and plants and so much more. The property is so big it is like an amusement park for nature lovers of all kids. Ride your bike there or park your car right outside the gates.
