Dreary, awful place!

The the education you receive in Chazy is great compared to other surrounding communities, the small school also has it's issues, namely drinking and drugs. I suppose all schools have these issues, but pot seems to be a MAJOR thing here at Chazy. Also, the beautiful school they USED to have is gone and the new one has issues, though some have been addressed of late....water leaks in the roof were a MAJOR issue last year, but I understand this issue has been addressed. If you do not play soccer, you don't want to be in Chazy....they are the defending champions for MANY years and Chazy lives and breathes soccer, so they put a lot of money into this sport that could be used to benefit ALL students otherwise. My major gripe about the area is the farms....if you don't enjoy smelling cow poo all the time, go somewhere else!!! You absolutely cannot escape the pungent odor of the newer "slurry" these CAFO farms have created around here, and good luck having a reliable water source since there are so many of them around! I had to live on a temporary water tank for three to four months two years ago after my well was contaminated by this crap! Very dreary, windy, miserable place in the winter months, and winter lasts a very LONG time around here! We are lucky to get 1-2 months of nice weather to enjoy the outdoors! Major plant in the area was bought out and then sold out after promising stability of jobs for the locals, and now jobs are being sent overseas! Real blow to the area, and I fear we are about to become a major ghost town! I may never get out of here now that almost every house is going up for sale due to the plant closures!
