Tiffin Review 2022
Star Rating - 1/13/2022
While I am not from here, I have lived here over ten years and feel part of the community thanks to the schools where my kids have gone (TCS and Calvert) and to the churches and community resources which connect people in town. Winters can get quite cold, but snow has decreased in the time I’ve been here. Summers are hot, but within 45 minutes of Lake Erie and its islands as well as Cedar Point (many people summer at the lake or in campgrounds). Downtown businesses have increased and “shop local” is possible here! There are also many options for farm to table here as well. Starting a business? This is a great place to do it. This community for the most part does a good job of supporting people from all socioeconomic groups. Diversity is lacking in race, but the colleges are both good at pushing the community to think more broadly. The universities and the Ritz theatre offer many cultural opportunities. Cost of living is relatively low, but rents have gone up significantly. We are within an easy drive of Findlay for a slightly larger town, and within an hour of Toledo and two hours of Cleveland, Detroit, or Columbus.
