1. High Crime rate 2. Low cost of living is because the whole place is a dump 3. Affordable before AFSOC moved in. Now it's housing market is over inflated 4. School system is not good. Mediocre at best 5.Physical setting is awful. Nothing to do for miles and barely a hill until you get to the Cap Rock 6. Avoid this place at all costs. Also, it alwayts smells like cow manure.

Eddie, Clovis doesn't always smell like manure( rare to smell only when the wind blows from the south). High crime rate is in most places(Florida is more dangerous than Clovis ). Schools are mediocre in most places in the USA. Clovis isn't on a beach but the HIGH PLAINS (flat), the Cap Rock is awesome to see by the way, and we are 2.5 hours from 12,000 foot mountains and millions of public forests to explore the Rocky Mountains. Clovis is driving distance from 1000's of awesome places to explore. Clovis is a great base to build some wonderful memories. Clovis has outstanding HS Sports to attend. Oh ya, did you ever go to the new archaeology museum and the dig site between Clovis and Portales, the dig site is awesome to witness in person. How about the Palo Duro Canyon the second largest only behind the Grand Canyon. Carlsbad Caverns is as good as it gets as well. White Sands is my fav. Peace.
