Sorry Bonnie, but the past always matters!!! It's what makes our futures brighter. And regarding Rogue River, you have it all wrong. Your first mistake is considering the downtown area as the actual Rogue River area. Most of us live outside the city, up in the forests. We never moved here for the town, although I find it quaint and concerned about the larger cities which it does not want to become. A lot of us live in sprawling, beautiful homes with fantastic views. If you place yourself in the correct area there is generally always a gentle breeze and the temps are far from unbearable. It's what helps the fruit and vegetables grow. Should you ever get a chance...take a trip out W. Evans Creek Road and savor the views, then take a left up Ditch Creek Road and see how it can be done. We came from SoCal where there are tons of amenities and also more politics, higher taxes and a lot more government fees. If you want others to make the luxury for you, you need to pay, otherwise you move to the Rogue River area and make your own luxury life!!! Been here ten years now and we love it and when friends come to visit they are so jealous that I am sure they will also retire here when the time comes.
