The Ville

My wife and I resided in the Vansville area of Beltsville for close to 30 years. Several of our immediate neighbors have also lived on this block for the same period of time. All have raised children who went on to lead productive lives while securing undergraduate and, in many cases, graduate degrees. During snowstorms neighbors are out concurrently shoveling their sidewalks and those of their neighbors. A week before Christmas, the local volunteer fire department comes through with several trucks and Santa Claus bringing up the rear. We have great access to the cultural riches of Washington DC, Baltimore, MD and a short drive to the Atlantic Ocean.
