Review of Osprey, Florida

Okay for retirees.
Star Rating - 5/1/2020
I lived in Southbay for three years because of my job, it was the worst place I’ve lived in my life. The rental home at $3500 per month was not taken care of by homeowner and though I’d informed the owner of mold issues they did nothing. My teenage daughter became so sick she had to move in with my mother in Ft. Myers which played havoc on her school changes. On top of that the once weekly garbage pickup and lack of quality recycled goods became a nightmare as County was not equipped to handle our recycling needs. On highway 41 the traffic speeds along at 55 MPH which is way too fast, especially with majority of drivers over the age of 60. Speaking of which, the retirement village was like living in an elephants graveyard. I actually quit my new job because I became severely depressed in this fishing village, and I was luckier than my wife, for at least I got to travel to Sarasota for my office. My wife who’s 42, complained tirelessly regarding rude neighbors who were bitter and rude because we didn’t attend church. My family and my kids couldn’t escape fast enough, not even the blue waters of the Gulf eased our stress. I was so happy to move back to upstate NY.
