Review of Chattanooga, Tennessee

Eh
Star Rating - 3/18/2019
Lived here almost 10 years.
Some pros:
Gorgeous nature
Pretty good foodie town, a lot of great dining options

Cons:
Unless you're born and raised/WASP who goes to small group good luck feeling like you fit in...
boring town with hardly any real actually fun events
traffic getting worse,
no good shopping,
it smells really bad

This person is correct when they comment on feeling like fit in unless you are from the area, you will not feel like you fit in. Maybe with the exception of downtown or the St Elmo area, other areas do not relate well to minorities or outsiders.

Only boring if you don't venture out - this city has been rated on best of outside activities lists consistently. As far as fitting in - yes, it is a WASPY town but tolerant of all.

Chattanooga is a great place to live. Been here almost 15 years and hate the idea of leaving this great city. So much to do. If you live the outdoors, there’s hiking trails, rafting, rock climbing, biking, great roads for motorcycling, boating, golfing & family parks. If your into education - great school system, esp. in country, several universities and colleges. Great clubs, brew pubs, the aquarium and IMAX theater. For history buffs-Lookout mountain, battlefields, monuments, museums. This city has it all.
