Great place and love living here

I was lucky to get a job transfer to East Wenatchee in 2014 from Austin, Texas. As someone who loves the outdoors my partner and I were concerned about the climate and general openness of the community. Since moving here we have not looked back. Gone are the crazy traffic issues and pushy people you learn to work around in the big city. What we found were people who were genuinely happy we arrived. My job is great and so is the city. The low humidity and four seasons make everything refresh every 3 months. The views are spectacular. Taking a train to Seattle or even Vancouver B.C. is awesome. And when we must get to Seattle to visit friends it is a short drive away. The city is small, but has a public transportation system that remains on schedule. And outdoor recreation is just a short bike ride or walk away. In fact, it has a larger and longer bike trail than Austin and everything you need just a few blocks away. It reminds me of the old hippy towns we loved as youths. We really love it and expect to remain here after retirement.
