Anyone have any more recent comments about the Metro DC area?

2012: To the person who wanted a more recent comment: Nothing has really changed much since all these comments. It's a pretty wealthy suburb of D.C. with a lot of govt contractors (and a lot of high paying jobs outside of D.C.). Chantilly has a few big business areas. One in particular has 30-40 large (incl Fortune 500) companies all clustered together. Commute to D.C. is horrible 1-1/2 hrs (rush hour) and to Tysons (bigger business area and shopping) is 45 min (rush hour). People are snobby and judgmental but less rude than every east coast place I've ever been too (but that's not saying much). Most of Fairfax county is similar. Views? There are none except a few parks like in any city. To do? Just the usual; nothing special. This is a place to get a good job, big house, and look down at your neighbors while they look down at you. Don't get me wrong, schools are supposedly top notch, high paying jobs close to home, nice well manicured lawns, school sports are very competitive, a lot of smart kids (competitive), and plenty of shopping. Relative to the rest of the DC area and most of the east coast, this is the place to be; but if you don't have a lot of money, don't like snobs, and want views, this is not the place to be.
