Review of Green Vall,

Allergies
Star Rating - 6/18/2009
Green Valley is not incorporated so there is no growth. Avg age is somewhere in the 70's. 85% retired.
The climate is hot in the summer - but not as hot as Phoenix. There isn't as much rain as there was 7 yrs ago when we moved here. Dry dusty and very windy which blows the pollen pretty consistently. Plus when the dust blows and % increases for developing Valley Fever. Very prevelant here for both humans and pets. ENT's say if you don't have allergies now you will when you come to Green Valley. It takes 1-2 years to develop these allergies. If I had know then what I know now.

We've been coming to Green Valley, AZ for 30 years, back when my parents lived here. We have owned a home here since 2002. Concerning allergies, "if someone gets allergies here in Green Valley, then they will get allergies anywhere". ITS NOT THAT BAD! (dusty, dry, hot) Ahhh, yeah, its the desert southwest! Its disheartening to have one person paint the wrong picture for such a wonderful place. My honest response is, if you don't like it, then move to a place that works for you.
