Review of Clarksdale, Mississippi

visiting the birthplace of the blues

I'm from California and I loved funky Clarksdale. The folks there are so friendly and curious about where you're from, what you do, and what you think of Clarksdale. They also love to talk about the blues. We danced and danced at Ground Zero, a hotspot there. The music was just amazing. It's also a big center for folk art. We ate well in Clarksdale, but the place is decidedly not environmentally conscious, which was a shock to us Northern Californians, who typically feast on fantastic organic fruits and vegetables most days. They're just not into that there. Don't bring it up unless you want to get laughed out of town.
