I was born in Tennessee, grew up in Pennsylvania and went to college in Iowa. Cost of living is the most expensive, homes are outrageously expensive and the people are in my experience very rude. With it being such a melting pot area this area brings lots of different types of people, most of which work in the DC area. If you are looking for a friendly area with lots to do you'll only get 1/2 of that here -plenty to do within a 30 minute drive, but bring a friend cause you wont make one around here.
