Nice place to Retire

I have lived all over the country and this area is by far the best. We purchased a 4 bedroom 2 bath home on 2 acres for $44,000 in 2005. Our property taxes are $365 per year. We live just outside the city of Douglas and have never seen the need to lock our doors. I have never looked at the crime rate because we have yet to be touched by crime with the exception of having our push mower stolen out of our front yard while we were visiting family in Florida. Kind people, a growing economy, and quiet lifestyle are why my wife and I wouldn't move anywhere else. We love it here.
