Yeah, originally from Madisonville Kentucky. Lived in Owensboro for about a year and probably was the most challenging year of my life. Owensboro townsfolk are pretty fake. They're nice, but not kind. (There's a difference) I've read many mixed reviews. As a younger black male, I definitely didn't feel welcome in Owensboro. Was probably most depressing year I've ever endured. I believe Owensboro is great for some people. For people of color, ESPECIALLY if you're young, don't go to Owensboro. Regardless of how many people say it's diverse. Yeah, it's diverse in comparison to small country towns with maybe two or three black families. But Owensboro is not a great place to live or move to. I was relieved to be away from there. Owensboro is the face of passive aggressive, vindictive people. There's a good reason why Johnny Depp doesn't claim Owensboro even though that's his hometown. It's an awful place. What's silly is that there's nice things in Owensboro. But the people are just another breed of awful.
