Landfill donations Jackson township to community s
Star Rating - 5/21/2009
With in excess of $195,00 donated to community service organizations in Jackson township, which at last census was 438 people. Where and what benefit to those residents? I am aware of ONE(1) community service organization in Jackson township Mount Ayr, Projects Committee. Yet figuring 438 residents and close to $200,00 in monies to community service organizations--this would appear to be $445 per man women and child/ As a resident of Mount Ayr, *Jackson township) I find it hard to believe that there isn't/doesn't appear to be much/more community service organisations and the projects committee serves approximate 145 of the 438 township residents? Are there more service organizations available. Mount Ayr receives money I am aware of from the operation of the landfill and has used it to pay for varioys projects to benefit residents. Garbage pick-up and provision of the garbage cans at no expense to the residents is one and recently was driveway gravel for any resident desiring such! Is this the "community Servicew money mentioned by senators in Indianaapolis in belittling the work and dedication of a lot of township trustees? Yes, their is graft and corruption in all walks of political life--but there are crooks in almost any oocupation! Why pick on all the townships because of a few! I feel our trustee is very much worth keeping!
