Review of Me,

Beware of Police
Star Rating - 12/13/2017
Mesa police department is out of control. I do not recommend living here. They get away with killing innocent, unarmed, compliant people. Google Daniel Shafer.

Saying people in AZ, or Mesa, don’t care is misguided. Perhaps your experience in your life caused you to mistrust those around you. Myself and those I know care about those around them, the city they live in and our state. I’m speaking of those I know and those I’ve interacted in the business world and government. I’ve never met a police officer that was rude, uncaring or who was dishonest to me. I was pulled over on I-17 by a Phoenix PD officer. I was driving 4 miles over the limit and slowly passed him. He came to my window and, in a stern manner asked me why I was speeding; why I passed him; did I not see he was doing traffic control? I first apologized, explained I saw him but wasn’t realizing I was over the speed limit and finally, that I intended no disrespect toward him or what he was trying to do. I was sure I was getting a ticket, but my respectful manner and apology were appreciated and I was only given a warning. I am old enough to be his Grandma, but he still respectfully warned me & I appreciated that. There are folks all summer long who rally the metro Phoenix Arizona area to get the homeless working (those who can) and/or off the street, especially during our 117 degree summer days. Those not involved in the orgs doing this, such as my family, donate millions of gallons of water, umbrellas for shade, cooling towels & other devices for those who give up shelter spots so the sick and disabled can get in. That is only a tiny example of our metropolitan area’s caring population. I’m sure there are a lot of Mormon’s in the area, especially in Mesa where I live as the temple is in the east valley. However, there are also those practicing other religions as well as agnostics and atheists. Overall, everyone is welcomed, and respected by most, and tolerated by those few who don’t. AZ is a beautiful state with few natural disasters. Our geographical location makes experiencing mild winters or blizzard conditions easy in the winter. In the summer, when the heat is far to high to play outside, people can drive a couple of hours & play in a lake or a few hours for beautiful temps in the high 79s. After an 8 hour drive you can be on a beach, and surfing in the Pacific ocean. I’d say that’s just about perfect.

Highly disagree with this, I've lived here all my life, and while yea there are a few bad apples, the majority of police I've ever talked to were nice people.
