Electric Prices

I have lived in Fort Meade most of my life, the town is a very small town, and it is nice to live in this area. It's not that far from either Coast, and there is decent shopping in the next towns, not to far from Fort Meade. My only concern is the High cost of living, especially the cost of Electric in this town. We have the 4th highest electric prices in the state, even higher than living on either Coast line. I used to live in a three bedroom house that ran Central Air and Heat, and my electric was never under $700.00 a month. The worst part was my husband and I weren't always at home, and we kept our thermostat around 75 degrees year round. The electric increased, but the paycheck stayed the same. So now we're looking for a place to live outside of town, that is maybe on Bartow, or Peace River Electric, because we know they don't charge an outrageous amount, like Fort Meade Electric does. Other than the cost of the electric Fort Meade is a good place to raise your children. They have an excellent education program, and an outstanding football and sports program in the high school.
