Review of Myersville, Maryland

Myersville Personal Overview
Star Rating - 5/15/2008
We have lived in Myersville for 6 years and can't say enough positive things about the area in general. Approximately 15 minutes to the very quickly growing Frederick, but just far enough away to be out of the hussle and bussle. Easy access to interstate 70 to Baltimore, or you can pick up 270 to Montgomery County and Washington DC. If you want a realistic commute to big city jobs but want to come home to small town comfort, Myersville is ideal. However, having your cake and eating it too, comes with a cost. A decent one acre lot will set you back about $150,000. Add Frederick County impact fees of roughly $15,000 and another $20,000 for well and septic and before you know it, $200,000 is a realistic number before you start actual excavation and construction. Build a very average house for $350,000 and before you know it, $550,000 and up. Existing homes for sale are few and far between for obvious reasons.
