Reisterstown is a small town in Northwest Baltimore County. It has many small, locally owned businesses, including a general bookstore, Constellation Books, a coffee shop, Java Mammas, at least one cafe with delicious sandwiches (Alices'). There is a good local library - not big, but comfortable and a decent selection of materials. The schools are pretty decent from what I hear - my daughter is not nearly old enough for school yet. Most of what we need is within walking distance or driving distance of our home. It's a pretty green area (lots of trees) and there are at least two good parks in the area.
