Review of Delta, Colorado

Think Twice
Star Rating - 9/14/2021
I have lived in numerous cities and states big cities as well as small communities but Delta by far is the worst
No I'm not looking for a parade everyday and monkeys handing out bags of cotton

But Delta is seriously lacking
The library is closed Monday and Tuesday
Unlike Montrose which has all kinds of Library programs plus the open on Sunday
Delta has few programs closes at 6:00

Outside of Walmart you have Safeway and City market
I understand moving from the Midwest your grocery Bill's going to go up but $250 to 275 is a big hike example I drink heavy cream in my coffee I pay a dollar 20 at Aldi's at Walmart 3.49
City market 6.99
Then you have to worry about the trucks being able to come in through the mountains limited at the grocery markets

The bill heidel recreation center yes it's nice on the outside and the inside but again I'm going to refer to Montrose they have a program there for people that are older they even mail out the brochure they'll send you the link they'll answer your questions really nice people
now Delta don't step on Gary's toes cuz you know he's been directing that program for a while he knows what he is doing
they don't mail any type of catalog you need to go down there and read what's on the wall according to Gary
And there seems to be more kids programs than adults

There is a community building in town but caters to younger children only program geared towards adults would be when they do plays Etc

And the attitudes a majority feel self entitled in Delta
Example I think 5 or 6 homeless people in town and quite a few in Delta fail they need to call the police on this situation because it's so bad can't have that happening here they feel they need to move but this place is going to become Denver that's one example of an attitude give me another example of an attitude parishioners were really nice the minister basically told me I didn't need to give you an invitation to come to the picnic that's on a bulletin board you could have found it wow that's the minister

Now again I know this is not the Midwest but things are a little cheaper than it is here but to pay $14 for chicken salad at a restaurant bit steep

saving Grace of living in Delta is you need to be retired with money
Or a young couple with children that have money because Delta only caters to those two types of people
And that Grand junction and Montrose on either side there are beautiful mountains around here and areas around here such as Ridgeway telluride but to be living in Delta on a 1 to 10 a four no bowling alley no late evening programs at the library etc etc

And any type of event you attend will cost you I knew we were in trouble when I seen a news article from 3 years ago
Local Man in Grand junction opens up a Halloween haunted house so low income people can attend who says something like that people with entitled attitudes granted that's Grand junction not Delta but you still get the idea what the Western slope can be like
