Review of Skokie, Illinois

Williamsburg Village, Skokie, Illinois
Star Rating - 4/12/2015
Williamsburg Village is located in what is informally called Skevanston because it is on the border between Evanston, Illinois and Skokie.

The homes were built in the 1950s and most have been improved over the years with additions, new kitchen etc.

They are not large from the street, but the build-on is usually in the back. The prices right now for homes is considered reasonable, but as one of the best kept secrets in Chicago area housing, becomes discovered and more young families move in, prices have tended to rise.

Almost every street ends in a cul de sac so walking around the neighborhood is easy and pleasant.

Almost every group is represented so the neighborhood is diverse. Children and pets abound. And the neighborhood watch committee is extremely vigilant. The home owners association sponsors events throughout the year.

The location makes public transportation a convenient alternative to driving. Shopping is within walking distance and getting to downtown Chicago is not a chore.
