Review of Hobe Sound, Florida

Hobe Sound a hint of Old FL
Star Rating - 10/18/2022
Having lived in S Florida since 1980s Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Pompano Beach in Broward County moved north into Palm Beach County 1990s (Lake Worth Area, The Acreage Loxahatchee that was a very nice and tranquil area at the time 2000s and for the most part still is) then headed east towards the beach Jupiter /Tequesta (full of old people and snowbirds that relearn how to drive at your expense is a big issue). Summers are scorching the last 4 years and you find yourself spending at least 6 months inside the AC only to go outside after dark when the heat is too much.

I have to say the feel you get in Hobe Sound FL reminds me of the above cities back in the day, although, the traffic has gotten busier over the last 2 years and growing due to others moving north (like I did). There are plenty of areas to shop, plenty of restaurants, ease of access into county offices, libraries, and the post office (workers are helpful and nice too) and you are a hop-skip-jump to Stuart and Jensen Beach to the north. Seems there's a new gas station on every corner and gas is always noticeably cheaper than Palm Beach County (so are the real estate taxes!). The local beach parking very very limited which causes you to drive south to Jupiter beaches (25 minutes away). Parks with trails are nice and convenient not crowded. Residents are nice folks, good to be around, decent, helpful, and respectful as much as it goes. Wondering how many years are left before Hobe Sound turns into Jupiter, hopefully never! Hobe Sound is a good place to live and no complaints from me!
