Review of Port Ludlow, Washington

I never want to leave..would't live anywhere else!
Star Rating - 1/3/2021
We spent five years looking within a 90 drive from Seattle. We retired in PL two years ago. I have lived in Asia, up and down the East Coast of the US and in CA. We were born in NYC.
I have never been happier. My neighbors are all races, LGBT, Liberals and ultra conservatives. Everyone is respectful.
When we want to go to Seattle we walk-on the ferry from Bainbridge Island. Our children come across the same way. A relaxing 40 minute ride!
Summers are amazing! Days in the 70's and SUN! We live outside during this period. Yes, the rainy period is long and hard. Up until now everyone has taken a few weeks/year to escape to a sunny climate. We look forward to doing it again.
Downers: Groceries are expensive! My bill is up 30% over what it was in Princeton NJ. Getting any help is outrageous. Garden help averages $30/hour, house cleaners $40-50! We will do it ourselves as long as we are able!
This place is absolutely beautiful. I can see the Olympic Mountains from my deck. The water is three minutes away. People are friendly.
