Review of Paulden, Arizona

cons???
Star Rating - 2/23/2016
I notice 2 of the 3 "cons" listed for Paulden are home prices ... where did they get that idea? Prices here are great! And water shortages??? - Paulden's aquifer is by far better (and less-used) than just about any other in the state. In fact, this is one of the few areas in AZ where water use is not regulated. It doesn't need to be. Also, reading "David"'s comment from 2010 prompted me to say things are changing here in Paulden ... people are buying properties and fixing them up. And "David"'s comment about "white trash mothers" is offensive ... "white trash", as he calls it, exists everywhere, including the grossly overrated city of Prescott (which has a very iffy water supply, by the way, and a rat race atmosphere). There are plenty of nice people in and around Paulden. We know; we live here. Many people love a country setting with NO Superfund sites nearby - Paulden has ZERO Superfund sites, unlike Chino Valley, Prescott, Dewey, and other area towns. Proximity to National Forest and State Trust land opens vast opportunities for horse people to enjoy their hobby without running into each other; a lot of people move to Paulden for just that reason. "David" should have invested in a property in Prescott if snob appeal and rat race components are so important to him. He probably lives here because he knows our area is growing (albeit subtly) and his property value is increasing. Especially as water becomes scarcer!
