Very different from Long Island. Not many job's and the schools are not as good. Teacher's are not very interested in the student's.

We moved here from Long Island almost 20 years ago. Although we do travel back up there quite frequently. Of course its different from Long Island just as most places will be. No comparison. You're comment that teachers are not very interested in the students lacks merit. Have friends and relatives from Long Island teaching here and when they heard this they couldn't disagree with you more.
