New residents to New Jersey

My husband and I are long time (50+ years) originally from the South Shore areas of Long Island, New York. We sold our home in 2005 quicker than anticipated and rented for a year in New Jersey, then purchased a townhouse in 2007. We purchased to be near grandchildren and currently like the area, lots of parks, beaches, shopping, entertainment and good access to parkways. The cost of living is fairly similar to the New York area we came from but, once we retire and are living on a fixed income we anticipate moving again, hence becoming a member to this website and interest in others comments and insights to places to live.
