Review of Voorhees township, New Jersey

Toxic tax atmosphere
Star Rating - 7/24/2018
Voorhees property tax is exorbitant to begin with. Then Township continuously manipulate assessment of the houses. It also appears that they assess higher values for properties owned by minorities. Because of the 15% rule they assess 10-15% higher values to residences owned by nonwhites forcing nonwhites out of the township. Township employees are all white including the council. "Great school" is a myth. It is at best mediocre. It should be noted that students from cheaper townships like Gibbsboro, Berlin also attend Voorhees high school which is a regional school run by the county and not township. Overall the township created a Toxic tax and race atmosphere in order to pay themselves very high salaries and it has to increase every year so that they can get raises.
