Higher crime rate than listed

I lived in Holmen for one year, and couldn't leave fast enough. I don't think the crime rate is nearly as low as it says it is. I think the police just don't arrest people who commit crimes, so they aren't counted. I was physically assaulted and had to go to the ER where visible injuries were documented and photographed by the doctor. The police did nothing because the person's spouse lied for them and said there was no physical contact. But there were discrepancies in their versions that the officer just ignored. Then, two months later, a threatening note was stuck to my door. That time the police officer told me they wouldn't waste taxpayer's money trying to get fingerprints off the paper or tape. Very messed up people in this town. Someone threatening to poison someone else's dog, talking about each other behind their backs. I have never lived in a place like this before.
