My husband and I moved here from Houston, TX and I fell in love with this place. I love the friendliness of the people, the quietness of a small town, the fact I can step out my front door and into an adventure, whether it be hiking, canoeing, fishing or browsing the local shops!
I love waking up to wildlife instead of people as well!
It's not too expensive, it does take some getting used to when grocery shopping, some of the bigger chain stores, restaurants or such aren't up here, but that's all minor to the beauty of it all.
It's a more relaxed pace of life, that's what I enjoy.
