La Plata - Traffic Nightmare and Strip Mall Hell

La Plata WAS a nice place to live, but that is no longer true. Now it is a traffic nightmare and a strip mall hell. Unfortunately, it appears that the town government and/or council members were more interested in lining their pockets or the pockets of their friends through outrageous development and runaway growth than in preserving the quality of life. Too bad and shame on them for selling out the town and its citizens to corporate franchises.
