unfortunately, We are looking into the same thing. While I grew up in the area most of my life, I feel that the "suburban" feel is looking too much like the beginnings of the city, the biggest problem I see is the cost to live here and all that is associated with that. Crime is rising, foreclosures are rising, food and utility costs are rising. When will it stop? when there aren't any people left here. Its a real shame that while most people see a change in this area, there are some that think nothing is wrong. This area used to be affordable but over the last 10+ years or so, when the costs of survival to live here far exceeds the money coming in, somethings gotta give. Costs are rising so much higher than the rate of inflation that what people could afford years ago, cant even think about nowadays. I'm not talking about luxury items. I'm taking about general necessities for everyday living. Is it a coincidence that more and more "For Sale" signs are going up all over the town. People are having a real problem surviving here. Its like a revolving door. Costs go up so people have to move, when people move and there is no one to move into their house to replace them, costs go up for the people that stay to make up the difference. which makes more people move because they cant afford it anymore, which make more costs go up, etc,etc,. I'm sorry for rambling on, but it does make me sick to think of what this area is becoming.(As for me, Eastern Tennessee near the Smoky Mountains)
